Professional radon testing has well-established protocols that are easy to follow. The US EPA has set a specific guideline for action at 4.0 pCi/L, so it is easy to advise your clients about whether to fix the home. Plus, your clients will not need to make a separate phone call for their radon test.
All states recommend certification and several require it. The American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists, www.aarst.org, runs the National Radon Proficiency Program, in partnership with the National Environmental Health Association, www.neha.org,. This certification program is recognized in all 50 states.
